UW Health Union Corners Clinic Urgent Care Clinic — Madison

UW Health Urgent Care provides full same-day walk-in evaluation with on-site X-ray, in-house lab, IV hydration, and laceration repair — staffed by family medicine physicians, urgent care specialists, and nurse practitioners. UW Health Immediate Care is a similar walk-in model at certain locations, typically staffed within an existing UW Health clinic with reduced capability for complex injuries. Both share the UW Health Epic MyChart EMR with University Hospital.

UW Health accepts Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wisconsin, WEA Trust, Quartz, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare, and BadgerCare Plus (Wisconsin Medicaid). Major in-network plans include Quartz (UW Health's affiliated insurance plan with UnityPoint Health and Gundersen Health), Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wisconsin, Dean Health Plan (now part of SSM Health, but UW Health is in-network), UnitedHealthcare, Humana, WPS Health Insurance, Aetna, Cigna, Tricare, Medicare, and Wisconsin Medicaid Managed Care plans (Anthem, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, MHS Health Wisconsin, Children's Community Health Plan).

All UW Health Urgent Care visits are documented in the shared UW Health Epic MyChart EMR — visible to University Hospital (the academic flagship and Level I Trauma Center), American Family Children's Hospital, the UW Carbone Cancer Center, and the 80+ outpatient clinic sites. If urgent care identifies a serious condition (suspected cancer, neurological symptoms, complex injury), referral routes seamlessly to the appropriate UW Health subspecialist with full visit history.
