University of Maryland Urgent Care – Downtown is part of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) — one of the nation's leading academic health systems, headquartered in Baltimore and operating the University of Maryland Medical Center (home of the nationally renowned R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, the nation's first shock-trauma unit), UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center, UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, UM Harford Memorial Hospital, and 12 other hospitals across Maryland. Located in Downtown Baltimore, the clinic operates 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM on weekdays. Patients have direct referral access into the full UMMS academic health system.
